Felicity Bladon, a competitive Latin dancer and customer at Specsavers Cannock, has received sponsorship from the store to help cover the cost of entering local and national dance competitions.

Felicity, who dances at Pure Dance Studio in Cannock, won a title at the prestigious Champions of Tomorrow event in Blackpool in January 2025 and reached out to the store earlier this month to share her competition journey. The team were so impressed by her achievements, and her passion for the sport, that they jumped at the chance to help.

"I’ve been dancing since I was 14 and I just love the music and performance of Latin dance," says Felicity. "Competing at a national level is such an amazing experience, but it can also be quite expensive, so this sponsorship will make a huge difference. I’m so grateful to the team at Specsavers Cannock for believing in me and supporting me on my journey, it really means a lot."

Felicity visited the locally owned and run store in Cannock town centre to meet the team and take some photographs ahead of her upcoming events. She explained how much of a difference the sponsorship will make, helping her to fund entry fees for the competitions she has lined up over the coming months.

"We’ve been really keen to get more involved in the local community this year as a way of giving back,’ says Jaspreet Dhaliwal, store director at Specsavers Cannock.

"So far this year, we’ve continued to raise money for charities through bake sales, running sight tests for local people experiencing homelessness and supporting at the local allotment, with the aim to grow food for the local foodbank."

"We’re always looking for new ways to make a positive impact, so when Felicity reached out to us, we could see straight away what a committed and talented young woman she is, and we’re proud to be able to support her as she competes on both local and national stages."
