This charity, which celebrated 50 years of existence this year, provides help, support and activities for the area’s over 50s. The charity’s ultimate aim is to ensure users are able to continue to live their lives to the full by helping them to remain active, learn new things, receive advice and support, make new friends and enjoy trips out with like minded individuals.

The Christmas celebration is being held on Saturday, November 29, from 10am until 2pm at the Elton Centre, St John’s Road, Stourbridge.

Anyone interested should call Kim on 01384 390065. We are particularly looking for individuals who sell home crafted and Christmas themed items.

David Harbach, chair of trustees commented: “This is an ideal opportunity for any local people who wish to participate in a Christmas Fayre for such a good price of £10. Last year we had people selling handmade items such as knitted and crotchet goods, jewellery and handmade cards. This year we would like to make the event even bigger and better.

“Or annual Christmas Fayre is really important to our charity as it helps us to raise money as we are locally self funded. We generate our funds from such events, our brilliant cafe, fun activities and days out and about and encourage anyone aged 50+ to get involved.”

Age Concern is a lifeline for many older people living in the areas of Stourbridge and Halesowen as we provide so much help, support and opportunities for individuals to enrich their lives. We not only provide advice, support and assistance, we also hold many events and activities at our lovely, tailor made building.
