This week he joined Steph Benniston, owner of the Rag to present cheques to Parkinson’s UK and Stafford and Cannock League of Hospital Friends.

Also performing at the event were Carol Brooks, Jordan Adams, Cannock’s new female sensation KC backed by the debuting Rag Time Band.

Cheques to the value of £1,146 were handed to both organisations.

Alison Cope, Community Fundraiser for Parkinson’s UK said she wished to thank The Rag, management and staff, Michael and all the other performers for their support at the event. She added that the money raised would be used specifically to help those with the disease.

Val Jones, Chair of the League of Friends said the League are grateful for The Rag and staff for making the event such a huge success. She also wished to thank Rawnsley residents and friends of the pub for their fabulous effort.

The donation will be used to help us fund further the support and equipment we provide to local hospitals.
