Sunday, September 14, will see Stone High Street taken over by blue light vehicles of all shapes and sizes, as the town comes together to celebrate our brilliant Emergency Services.

Alongside browsing the vehicles on display – which will include ambulances, fire engines, police cars and fire boats there will also be the chance to meet and greet representatives from Stone First Responders, Midlands Air Ambulance and Staffordshire Police.

The free event is part of the popular ‘Sunday Series’, run by Stone Traders’ Group in partnership with the team behind the Stone Food & Drink Festival with the aim of bringing visitors into town to help bolster high street businesses – and was masterminded by Jamie Richards, CEO of Stone-based defibrillator charity, AED Donate, which will be doing free CPR demonstrations throughout the day.

Jamie says: “Following the popularity of the Four Wheel Fest and other transport events in the town over the past few years, I had the idea of bringing together our local emergency services to give people a chance to find out more about what they do and get up close to their vehicles.

“We’re hoping it will provide a fun, informative day out for the local community and also get Stone High Street bustling on a Sunday – there will be lots of local businesses, bars and eateries open on the day to support the event. Who knows, it may even help inspire the next generation of Blue Light workers!”

The event will take place on Sunday, September 14 from 10am – 3pm and is free to attend. Future Stone Sunday Series events include a Family Halloween Fest on Sunday, October 26, and the ever-popular Stone Christmas Markets on Sunday, November 23 and Sunday, December 14.
