New venture handing Lichfield’s small businesses a big voice launches
Under the strapline “Small Business, Big Voice,” Lichfield Chamber of Trade and Commerce’s (LCTC) new podcast series kicked off today (September 1).
Devised to shine the spotlight on local businesses and the people behind them, Chamber President and podcast host, Ruth Redgate, said: “It’s a real privilege to host these podcasts and get to know our business members better through enlightening fireside-style conversations.
Podcast stories set to surprise and amaze - says host Ruth Redgate, “Every business has its own story, and each episode will reveal some surprising little nuggets about our members that people may not know – some of which have genuinely amazed me!

“This podcast is about celebrating those stories and giving our independent, small business members a bigger voice.”
The podcast, which is the latest addition to LCTC’s growing plethora of benefits for its members, features weekly in-depth interviews that give each business a well-deserved platform to showcase itself.
And the first guest to go under the spotlight is Aaron Roach from professional marketing agency Zephi.

He said: “I’m incredibly excited that we have launched this new podcast which will shine a light on the incredible businesses that help to make our city thrive.
“I’m honoured to be the first guest, to share our company’s journey, and, to be part of a venture that celebrates the spirit of our local community.”
Ruth, of Hunnypot Cottage Bakery, and programme director for the city’s new Lichfield Radio LCTC-sponsored venture, added: “The podcast aims to give local businesses a stronger platform to share their stories, insights, and experiences and to help listeners discover more about the individuals shaping the Lichfield business community.”

The podcasting studio is based in LCTC’s newly established office at Lichfield District Council House, and is also available for Chamber members to hire at a nominal fee, with access also open to non-members.
The podcasts, which will also feature conversations with key city figures and decision-makers, are edited by LCTC member Ben Hatfield, CEO of Tangents for Talent, who brings his expertise to ensure professional production quality.
