Golden Eagle Court disabled care facility makes 60th local staff appointment
Golden Eagle Court supported living service in Bloxwich, near Walsall, which supports individuals with learning disabilities and associated needs, is celebrating welcoming its 60th local staff member.
Golden Eagle Court, located on the site of the former Golden Eagle pub, has been transformed into nine spacious apartments. The facility features parking and outdoor communal spaces, creating a safe and welcoming environment for residents who all have complex needs.
The apartments are designed to enable people to live independently in their own homes, with tailored support from ECHO Supported Living Services. As a leading community support provider, ECHO assists residents with daily living activities such as accessing the community, shopping and cooking.
The housing is managed by Inclusion Housing, a prominent health and social care landlord. Together with ECHO Supported Living Services, they empower people to live as independently as possible while remaining close to their families and developing essential life skills.
Steven Maley heads up the growing team as Manager of Golden Eagle Court, having joined the service last year, bringing 15 years of experience in health and social care. His ethos focuses on fostering independence and promoting wellbeing for both the people supported and staff.

Speaking about the milestone, Steven said: “Reaching our 60th local staff member is a real testament to the growth, commitment and community impact of Golden Eagle Court. This service offers individuals, whose needs are often very complex, the support and independence they deserve, helping them to live fulfilling lives in their own homes. I am incredibly proud of our team and the positive, empowering environment we have created together."
