Thriving habitats, thriving communities: A decade of environmental impact, thanks to South Staffs Water

PEBBLE is the biodiversity improvement fund from South Staffs Water. Over the last 10 years, we’ve awarded £360,000, supporting projects that nurture local ecosystems in our supply areas. From wildflower meadows to the restoration of rivers and wetlands, the impact has been far-reaching. Through partnerships with local community groups and charities, we’ve helped enhance over 100 hectares of land, turning them into thriving habitats and beautiful spaces for people to enjoy.

Funding of up to £10,000 is available for projects that are looking to improve, restore or create habitat within our supply area. Projects should also have a community benefit, or a particular focus on the management of invasive non-native species.

Applications are now open until Monday 29 September 2025. Any projects that have been applied for and are successful will have until 31 March 2027 to complete the work and submit an end-of-project report.
