After much hard work studying and preparing, students at the school, which is part of Windsor Academy Trust, are collecting a set of strong GCSE results and getting ready to take their next steps in their educational journey.

Great Wyrley Academy students are now looking forward to progressing onto their chosen further education institutions, with many remaining at the school’s Aspire Sixth Form to study for A Levels and vocational qualifications.

While all students have done incredibly well, there are some standout individual achievements. These include:

  • James Oxley received 2 grade 9’s, 3 grade 8’s and 2 Distinctions

  • Robyn Geddes received 3 grade 8’s and 5 grade 7’s

  • Christian Parker, Billy Robinson and Owen Hardaker each received 1 grade 9 and 1 grade 8

Collecting GCSE results today, James Oxley said: I'm absolutely thrilled with my GCSE results, especially the 9s! Coming into this school in Year 9, I wasn't sure what to expect, but the teachers have been so helpful and friendly. Their support really made a difference and helped me achieve my goals.”

Kelly Moore, Headteacher at Great Wyrley Academy, said: “I am incredibly proud of our GCSE results this year. Our students' hard work, dedication, and resilience, combined with the unwavering support of our dedicated staff, have led to ensuring students can successfully go on to their next destination. These results are a

testament to the quality of education we provide and the bright futures that await our students."
