“It’s been a privilege to watch them grow into kind, respectful and focused young adults. Our vision is for every child to celebrate their own success and the success of others and seeing our students support and cheer each other on today has been a real highlight.

“These results are well deserved and open up a world of opportunities for them as they embark on their next steps. We are overjoyed that many of our students will be continuing their education with us in our sixth form college, while others will be going on to other exciting destinations at local further education provision, with some beginning exciting apprenticeships. We wish them all the very best for the future."

The school is part of the Severn Academies Educational Trust and chief executive Matthew Carpenter said: “We are delighted to celebrate the collective success of this year group, with an increase in the number of students achieving both English and maths GCSE. The success is a culmination of five years of commitment and perseverance.
