Proud pupils at Starbank School celebrate GCSE triumphs
Pupils from Starbank School look forward to promising futures after GCSE results day success.
Shining star Enoch Usikalu secured a superb set of results, including grade 9s (the highest grade possible) in English Literature, Mathematics, Combined Science, Statistics and Religious Education. Having also achieved grade 8s in English Language and Geography, and grade 7s in French and Business Studies, he looks forward to studying A levels in Physics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Computer Science. With ambitions to pursue a career in Cybersecurity, Enoch is delighted that his results have opened the door to further opportunities, saying: “The continued hard work from the beginning has shown in my results. Thank you to all the teachers. I am so excited for the future.”
On cloud nine and proving that hard work equals high rewards, Isha Begum was delighted to achieve two grade 9s, seven grade 8s and a grade 7. She will now take the next step by studying A levels in Mathematics, History and Business Studies at Solihull Sixth Form College.
Safa Kiani, who was shortlisted for Secondary School Pupil of the Year at Star Academies’ recent Star Awards ceremony, is planning a career in law. Building brilliant beginnings, Safa’s impressive collection of four grade 9s, four grade 8s and a grade 7 has secured her a place to study A levels in Mathematics, Business, Law and Criminology at Joseph Chamberlain Sixth Form College. Excited for the future, Safa stated: “I am delighted with my results and look forward to the next phase of my journey. A big thank you to everyone who has supported me.”
Future focused pupil Khalid Ahmed is taking his talents to Solihull Sixth Form College where he hopes to take the first steps toward a career in Engineering by studying A levels in Mathematics, Chemistry and Geography. Delighted to achieve four grade 9s, three grade 8s, two grade 7s and a grade 6, Khalid said: “I am relieved that all the hard work throughout the years and the support of my teachers has paid off! I am passionate about my subjects, and it is really humbling to achieve such fantastic grades.”
