Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy students proudly collect GCSE results
Students at Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy (OSCA) are celebrating today after receiving their GCSE results which demonstrate their hard work and commitment over the last two years.
The academy, in Pelsall and part of Ormiston Academies Trust, has shared its pride in this year’s GCSE cohort taking home excellent results. Across the academy students achieved highly, with particular success in subjects including art, business studies, biology, chemistry, physics, Spanish and RE.
The standout results have now enabled students to progress into chosen further education institutions, such as A Level courses, vocational or apprenticeship routes, with many excited to return to OSCA’s Sixth Form in September.

Alongside the success of the academy, some individual achievements include:
Hanna Tomera who successfully achieved a grade 9 in art, biology, chemistry, English literature and RE. She also achieved grade 8 in English language, geography, Spanish and mathematics.
Noah Carpenter who achieved grade 9 in biology, chemistry, physics, English language and literature and history. He also gained grade 8s in computer science, geography and RE and a grade 7 in mathematics.
Leisha Grewal secured grade 9s in English language, English literature and sociology. She achieved grade 8s in Spanish, geography and chemistry, also gaining a Distinction* in music and grade 7s in mathematics and biology.
Amy-Rose Prosser was awarded grade 9s in sociology and English literature, grade 8s in psychology, mathematics and biology, a Distinction* in drama, and Grade 7s in chemistry, English language, geography and physics.
