Celebrating success: GCSE students shine at Wolgarston High School
Today (August 21) at 9am students were arriving in anticipation to Wolgarston High School to collect their GCSE results. Wolgarston staff were also there to welcome and celebrate with their Year 11 students in the school’s main hall.
Wolgarston High School is proud to announce another great year of GCSE results. This year, 76% of students achieved a grade 4 or above in English and Maths.
“Wolgarston has supported me to achieve the best possible results, “ said Dan Harris (Year 11 student), “I’m over the moon! I have passed everything! I have achieved two GCSE Grade 9's in History and Graphics, as well as five GCSE Grade 8's in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English. I am looking forward to coming back in September to continue my education."

“I am so proud of all my Health and Social Care students, they have worked so hard,” said Mrs Caroline Dodd (Teacher or Health & Social Care and PE), “ A massive well done to Lillie-Mae Jones who achieved Distinction star as well as scoring 100% on her exam, this is an amazing achievement."

Headteacher Mr Dan Boden commented: “We are incredibly proud of our students’ achievements. These results reflect their hard work, resilience, and the unwavering support of our dedicated staff and families. Despite the challenges faced by this cohort, including the lasting impact of the pandemic, they have shown exceptional determination and maturity.”
"As students look ahead to their next steps, many will be continuing their journey at Wolgarston’s Sixth Form, which also celebrated outstanding A-Level results last week. We want to take this opportunity to wish all of our students Good Luck as they embark on the next stage of their educational journey."

Wolgarston High School’s GCSE Results Day was not merely a display of academic success, it was also a celebration of community, perseverance, and the bright futures that now lie ahead for its students. Today cheers of triumph could be heard echoing through the school’s main hall, embodying the essence of what it means to achieve individually and collectively.
