Little feet, big adventures: Toddlers go 'OWT' in Oldbury
Pop on their wellies and grab your toddler’s hand because it’s time to Get OWT! The Salvation Army Oldbury Community Church is taking little explorers on big outdoor adventures this summer, with two mornings parked full of trails, play, and giggles in the park.
On Friday, August 22 and Friday, August 29, from 10am to 11:30am at Barnford Park, tiny adventurers can follow nature trails, get crafty, enjoy messy sensory play, and snuggle in for story time at 11.15am. It’s all about playing, making friends, and having fun in the fresh air—while the grown-ups join in too.
Deborah Hampton, Church Leader of the Salvation Army in Oldbury, said: "There’s something special about seeing little ones explore the outdoors. The joy on their faces as they splash in puddles or find a shiny pebble is priceless. Get OWT! is about slowing down, sharing those moments with your child, and connecting with other families in a safe, friendly space.”
Children can follow themed trails around the park and collect a sticker from the gazebo upon completion. Activities are free, fun for all ages, and designed to encourage imagination, movement, and learning in the fresh air.
