Students at Windsor High School and Sixth Form in Halesowen celebrate post-16 results
Sixth Form students from Windsor High School and Sixth Form are celebrating after receiving their A Level and vocational results today.
The school, which is located on Richmond Street in Halesowen and part of Windsor Academy Trust, is pleased to announce another set of strong results achieved by its students.
Standout individual achievements include:
Charlie Vine has successfully achieved Grades A*, A*, A in History, Graphics and English and has secured his place to study English and History at The University of York.
Caitlin Keenan has successfully achieved Grades A*, A and Distinction * in Criminology, Sociology and Health and Social Care and has secured her place to study Criminology at Aberystwyth University.
Leena Al-Ashram has successfully achieved Grades A*, A and Distinction* in Criminology, Sociology and Health and Social Care and has secured her place to study Primary Teaching at Haybridge.
Lucie Simkins has successfully achieved Grades A, A, A in English, History and Law and has secured her place to study Law at The University of York.
Ryan Worton has successfully achieved Grades A, A, A in Business Studies, PE and Psychology and has secured his place to study Psychology at The University of Birmingham
Collecting A Level results today, Caitlin Keenan, said: “During Sixth Form I thoroughly enjoyed all of the different ways in which I have been taught, the community feeling and the positive, studious atmosphere. I will always be grateful to the teachers of Windsor and remember my Windsor experience.”
Leena Al-Ashram also said: “I have loved studying at Windsor, specifically the staff who are friendly and supportive. It is really easy to make friends there and is an enjoyable place to be.”
Ryan Worton said: “I joined Windsor for Sixth Form and have really enjoyed my time here. I have made lots of new friends, especially on my amazing trip to New York with the school. Thank you to all the staff for the opportunities and support they have given me.”

Students are now looking forward to progressing onto their chosen universities, exciting apprenticeships and employment at leading organisations across the region.
Windsor High School and Sixth Form achieved 50 A*-A grades and 130 grade B and above. A third of our students achieved an average grade of B or higher for all of their subjects.
Subjects that saw particular success included:
Sociology, where 50% of the students achieved a grade B or higher;
11 subjects, including Graphics, Maths and English Literature had more than 25% at grade A/A*;
More than 60% of students gained grades higher than a Distinction in Sport, Dance and Health.
