Stourport High students celebrate their A-level and BTEC results
The hard work of Year 13 students from Stourport High School & VIth Form College paid off as they celebrated their fantastic outcomes.
Angela Parker, assistant headteacher and head of Vlth Form, said: “We are incredibly proud of all our students. Completing two years of level three qualifications is an achievement in itself and each of our wonderful young people has overcome individual challenges along the way.
“It has been a privilege to be part of their journey and we know they are now fully equipped to face the exciting challenges ahead.”
Highflyers include Chloe Finlow who achieved 3 grade A A-levels, plus A in her extended project qualification (EPQ) and is looking forward to heading off to Oxford University.
Maddox Lowe secured A*, A, B, Vadim Dyson A*, A, C and Safina Watters gained grades A, A, B plus an A in her EPQ. Alfie Barrett, Izzy Jones, Ruby Lawrence and Will Wheatley all achieved three distinctions and/or distinction*s.
Miracle Russello and Freya Bevan both secured three B grades and Sofia Rose achieved grades A, B and C.
While training and representing England in rugby, Harry Wright still managed to achieve 160 UCAS points which is the equivalent to A*A*A.
Mrs Parker added: “This was a phenomenal achievement that is testament to his work ethic and commitment to everything he does. There were also many other notable individual performances and they should all be very proud.
“Students who were targeting university for September 2025 have all secured places, meaning a remarkable 71 per cent of our VIth formers will be continuing with further education. Other students are heading off onto exciting next steps in apprenticeships and the workplace.”
The school is part of the Severn Academies Educational Trust and chief executive Matthew Carpenter said: “I congratulate all our students on their results and I wish them well for the future. I would also like to thank the staff for their guidance and dedication and the families for their support.”
