Gospel Oak School celebrates A Level success
Students and staff at Gospel Oak School, located on Bilston Road and part of the Central Region Schools Trust, are celebrating receiving their A Level grades today.
The school is delighted to announce another year of significantly improved results for students. Their determination and hard work has meant many have achieved great results and will now progress onto their chosen next steps in higher education, jobs or apprenticeships.
There have also been some impressive individual performances, which include:
Alfie Calder who successfully achieved triple Distinction in his sport course. Alfie has secured a place at Dudley College to study Sport and Exercise.
Bethany Jones who earned a B in biology, a C in chemistry, and a B in history. Bethany will go on to the University of Birmingham to study Biomedical Science.
Luke Merry who gained a B in biology, a B in chemistry, and a B in history. Luke has earnt a place at the University of Warwick studying Politics.
Rheeya Sahota who achieved an A in criminology, an A in psychology, a B in the EPQ and a C in history. Rheeya will go on to study Criminology and Sociology at the University of Warwick.
Cody Smith who gained a B in maths, a B in physics and a C in chemistry. Cody’s results have secured him a place at the University of Nottingham studying physics.
Taylor Ward who achieved triple Distinction in his sport course. Taylor has secured a place at the University of Wolverhampton to study Sport.
Michael Zimunya who successfully achieved a Merit in business, B in criminology and a B in design technology. Michael will go on to Aston University to study Quantity Surveying.
Stephen Brownlow, Principal at Gospel Oak, said: “We are immensely proud of our students, not just of their achievements, but also the life skills and values they have learnt throughout the process – pride, respect and aspiration. These results are a testament to their hard work and determination and it has been a pleasure to see students and staff working together to produce these achievements. An enormous thank you must go out to our whole school community, to the teachers who inspired them, the pastoral team who guided them and to parents/carers for their unrelenting support. We are excited to hear about their future successes and wish them every happiness in the next stage of their lives.”
