Childhood friends launch magazine to celebrate Stourbridge’s hidden gems
Two childhood friends have teamed up to celebrate everything that makes Stourbridge special. Started as an idea by local artist Stacy Hammond ‘Our Stourbridge’ aims to spread positivity through promoting local independent businesses, charities and groups in a regular magazine.
She was soon joined by fellow Stourbridge local Sarah McDowall, and together they’ve just published the very first issue.
Stacy said: “Through my work, I’ve had the joy of discovering amazing people, stories, and community projects that quietly make this town shine - and I kept thinking, “More people should know about this!” That’s when the idea for this magazine started: a place to gather these stories, highlight local projects, and shout about all the great stuff happening in Stourbridge.
We can’t wait to share more with our community and really celebrate how brilliant our hometown is.”

Inside the first issue, readers can discover inspiring local initiatives like Stourbridge in Bloom, explore the work of community-focused artist Cal, and find out about upcoming events that support independent businesses.
You can read the magazine online here: https://www.stacyhammond.com/our-stourbridge-2-0, and due to popular demand, printed copies will be available soon.
