Staffordshire talent takes centre stage in spectacular ‘Believe!’ show at The Regent Theatre
Hundreds of performers from leading Staffordshire performing arts school Rooftop Studios lit up The Regent Theatre, Stoke-on-Trent, last month in a dazzling celebration of dance, drama and musical theatre.
The show, Believe!, brought together every single class from the Stone and Leek studios, showcasing the talents of students aged 2 to 82. From show-stopping musical numbers to elegant ballet and energetic street dance, audiences were treated to a vibrant, feel-good production that embodied Rooftop Studios’ ethos of inspiring confidence, ambition and self-belief.
The two-night run, which included two matinee performances, was a sell-out success, with audiences providing fantastic support the performers – many of whom were appearing on a professional stage for the very first time.
Leek studio director, Claire Simpson, who also manages the Stone branch, says: “We are all immensely proud of our students – they put on a fantastic show and were hugely professional throughout. This has been our biggest and most ambitious show to date, and is the first time we have performed at The Regent, and it was a real honour to tread the boards at a venue that hosts many professional dance and drama productions.
“I’d like to say a huge thank you to our whole team who worked tirelessly in the run-up to and during the run to ensure our students could fully showcase their talents, and to all the parents, friends and family who volunteered during show week to make it happen.”
