Despite being from Cornwall, Big Sam shares that whenever he is visiting family in the Bilston area he makes sure to pop in. Not only does he browse the items on offer but regularly makes purchases whether it be the clothing, the cards, the gifts, meat, veg and bakery items. In the past Big Sam has contacted family to purchase towels and bedding from long standing trader Jag who recently retired as they were better quality and more affordable.
When visiting on 4 August, Big Sam took time to meet with various traders such as Sue from Bilston Brew Centre, Sean from the kitchen essentials stall and Penny from Best Wishes cards to talk about the issues they've faced recently and what this support means to them. The support and time that Big Sam took out of his day made the traders days and it gave them hope that if someone can travel over 200 miles to get their items then it really is giving purpose to what they do!
Sharing on social media, Big Sam noted that the market is "great value for whatever you may need and well worth the trip all the way from Cornwall" with finishing that he highly recommends anyone to pop by and grab themselves a bargain.
