During the four days of packed action Team BCH took part in a host of sports, including swimming, track and field, archery, tennis and much more.

And there were plenty of smiles as organ donation was championed to get people thinking about registering their decision, along with sharing their wishes with their loved ones.

Jemma Mears, Team BCH Manager, said: “It’s hard to describe the atmosphere for anyone who has not been fortunate enough to attend a British Transplant Games. It’s such a special few days for everyone involved.

“Over the four days you see the immense power of organ donation and how it’s touched so many lives. It’s amazingly humbling.

“Thank you to our BCH Charity for their fantastic support once again, along with all our fundraisers, Ava’s Angels, Luke's Fund and Split.

“The most important thing about the British Transplant Games is raising awareness. It’s almost impossible to comprehend what families go through when they lose a loved one, which is why we’re so incredibly grateful to them when they give so selflessly and agree to offer the ‘Gift of Life’ to someone else in need.

“Do please, register or re-register your organ donation decision and speak with your loved ones to let them know. It could be the most precious gift you ever give.”

Preparations are already planned for the 2026 games, which will be heading to Sheffield next summer.
