Major landscaping project officially opens following substantial cash injection
The Hart School in Rugeley has officially opened a major landscaping project, which marks the latest milestone in its ongoing multi-million-pound investment programme.
Having been under construction, behind its main building, for over 18 months, the new landscaped area has been officially opened by Marc Jordan, outgoing CEO of Creative Education Trust, which The Hart School is proud to be part of.
Enhancing students’ experience beyond the classroom
The landscaping project, which spans 3 km², boasts multiple additional seating areas, improved accessibility to the school field, a reading nook, and wildflower area to enhance the natural beauty of the Rugeley school, which sits on the edge of Cannock Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

And the landscaping project isn’t the only major improvement in the school’s 2025 pipeline, as it continues to improve its offer year on year.
As the school’s reputation for excellence in dance continues to flourish, the start of the new academic year will herald the opening of a new purpose-built dance studio, which will be used by all year groups as students can study dance at both GCSE and full-time in the Sixth Form.

Principal, Ms Rachael Sandham, said: “We are thrilled that after many months in the pipeline and development that we have now officially opened our newly landscaped grounds.

“I’m also excited to see our school vision ‘We Can, We Will, We Do’ continuing in September, and beyond, with the opening of our exciting new dance studio.”
Invitation to the community and prospective families to view its new facilities
The Hart School invites prospective parents to attend its open day on Thursday, October 2 - with bookable sessions at 4pm, 5pm, and 6pm - to explore the new landscaped grounds, future dance studios, and wider educational offering that makes it a popular, high‐performing choice for both parents and pupils.
