Black Country Recovery College announces open days in August
The Recovery College for the Black Country is delighted to announce a new series of open days this August, inviting prospective students, local healthcare professionals and community members to explore its transformative, recovery-focused educational programmes.
Following the College’s successful expansion in September 2023, from its original base at Quayside House in Oldbury to new locations in Dudley, Walsall, and Wolverhampton these open days provide an opportunity for the community to learn more about programs at the Recovery College and how the college supports mental health through education and collaborative learning.
Building on the momentum of previous well-attended events, the Recovery College team is once again opening its doors at the following locations:
Walsall Open Day:

Date: Monday 4 August
Time: 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Location: YMCA, Small Street, Walsall, WS1 3PR
Sandwell Open Day:
Date: Wednesday 6 August
Time: 10:00AM – 12:00PM

Wolverhampton Open Day:
Date: Wednesday 13 August
Time: 2:00PM – 4:00PM

Dudley Open Day:
Date: Friday 15 August
Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm
Location: DY1 Community Centre, Stafford St, Dudley DY1 1SA
At each open day, visitors will:
Take part in a brief introductory session to learn about the College’s mission and programmes.
Engage in a question and answers session to address any questions.
Join a taster session led by members of the college’s facilitator team.
Enjoy light refreshments and a chance to connect with others in the community.
The Recovery College provides an educational learning environment for people who have an interest in, or personal difficulties with, mental health. Courses at the college celebrate people’s successes and build on existing skills and strategies. The Recovery College works on the belief that learning together makes students stronger and supports their recovery.
