'Whole Lotta Rosie' - talented local poet to perform at New Invention Summer Fest
A local poet who has recently performed at The Hive Cafe & Bakery with Verve Poetry Press, Robertos Bar with Lee Benson from Black Country Radio and Sabrina Poets, is headlining the forthcoming New Invention Summer Fest on Sunday (27 July) at The Milestone Pub in Willenhall.
There will be free bouncy castle, free children's face painting, sand pits, barbecue, arts and wellbeing stalls. The event is organised by Tal Singh at Soulbrite Seva CIC and Leesha Mansell of Community Matters CIC.
The live entertainment is provided courtesy of Saida & Friends - the very best of local spoken word, music, creative writing workshops and no less than two book launches by Sara Meredith and Katie Victoria.

One of those poets is Rosie Mitchell who is building up a reputation as a powerful spoken word artist.
Rosie Mitchell is a talented local poet and spoken word artist. Her poetry explores themes of mental health, addiction, love, loss, healing, social injustice and nature. She writes thought provoking, gritty poetry with a richness of imagery. It has been said that Rosie has a unique mastery of rhyme and rhythm.
Rosie started her spoken word journey performing at The Mother Wolf club in London. She has regularly performed her poetry on stage at Claptrap in Stourbridge and Last year she was a support act for Lost Wave Music's album launch at the venue. Her poem about Van Gogh was featured on the Van Gogh Alive website.
Most recently she has recited her poetry at Roberto's bar in Halesowen and at the Verve open door poetry event in the Jewellery Quarter Birmingham. Rosie has a strong Instagram following @rosiemitchellpoetry and has been featured in numerous online poetry magazines. Rosie is set to publish her first collection of poetry by the end of the year.
