Sun, sand and fun - plus the best of spoken word, music and more at Willenhall
Join us on Sunday (27 July) at The Milestone Pub, Willenhall, at the New Invention Summer Fest for the very best of spoken word, music, and two book launches by Sara Meredith and Katie Victoria.
On Sunday, 27 July there will be the New Invention Summer Festival between 12pm - 6pm. It will be held at The Milestone Pub, New Invention, Willenhall WV12 5DT.
There will be free bouncy castle, free children's face painting, sand pits, barbecue, arts and wellbeing stalls. The event is organised by Tal Singh at Soulbrite Seva CIC and Leesha Mansell of Community Matters CIC.

The live entertainment is provided courtesy of Saida & Friends - the very best of local spoken word, music, creative writing workshops and no less than two book launches by Sara Meredith and Katie Victoria.
"It`s going to be a cracking event" said Ian Henery "and we're kicking off the music with local legends The Other Half, namely Andrew Keatley and Sylvia Keatley. They recently performed at the Bridgnorth Open Mic Night at Kershaw's Cafe and played a great set".
Headlining Saida & Friends - Saida Chowdhury who recently performed at Robertos in Halesowen and is an experienced creative workshop facilitator. "Saida's work has been endorsed by none less than Sureena Brackenridge MP" said Ian Henery, "and we are looking forward to having our MP at the event along with film maker Graham Stubbs".
Saida was recently interviewed on Black Country Radio with Tal Singh and Sureena Brackenridge MP.

Katie Victoria last performed at The Milestone in Willenhall on 12 July with The Groovy Gang Entertainers called Gunshots at the Gin Joint. "I was chuffed to bits to be there" said Ian Henery "because it was sold out". Katie is launching her debut poetry collection 'I Write Because....' which is now an Amazon best seller. Katie performed only last weekend with Sabrina Poets.
Daniel Martin and Rosie Mitchell are two exciting poets and they also performed recently at Robertos in Halesowen. Daniel performed his spoken word at Poetry Breakfast with Saturday Books at the weekend at Dudley Library.
"The final book launch" said Ian Henery, "is by local poet Sara Meredith. Her book is called 'I Am The Storm' and although her book may be a challenging and emotional read it is also filled with moments of triumph and quiet beauty. Each poem offers a message of perseverance, reinforcing that the journey toward healing is not linear but it is always worth pursuing".
