“We all know it can be a challenge to keep children entertained during the summer holidays, so we’ve organised a fun programme of events that will do just that.

“Booking is essential for some sessions so please check details with individual libraries or on our website and social media channels.”

The libraries involved are Stourbridge, Gornal, Dudley, Kingswinford, Lye, Brierley Hill, Netherton, Long Lane, Halesowen, Cradley, Sedgley, Coseley and Wordsley.

Councillor Damian Corfield, cabinet member responsible for libraries, said: “Our libraries offer events and activities all year round but really pull out the stops for the summer and the summer reading challenge. This year’s summer reading challenge theme is the natural world and there are hundreds of nature themed craft activities for youngsters of all ages.”
