Dudley decorator wins national award

Dudley business, Parkes Decorators, has won a national award for its work on a barn conversion in Lower Penn near Wolverhampton.

The company was recognised for its excellent technical skills in a project that combined old and new, at a glittering ceremony hosted by the Painting and Decorating Association (PDA) at Plaisterers’ Hall, London.

The national trade body revealed Parkes Decorators as the winner of the New Build category at its prestigious Premier Trophy Awards, citing an exceptional standard of work.

“The hard work from our lads and commitment from our clients enables us to be able to carry out such work on all manner of fantastic projects. Thanks to all involved and a massive thanks to the PDA.”

The Premier Trophy Awards is held annually by the PDA to fly the flag for excellence in the sector and the main sponsor for 2025 was Johnstone’s Trade.

Award entries are judged by a panel of experts from the Institute of Clerks of Works and Construction Inspectorate (ICWCI), who examined 103 entries, visited 53 sites and scored entrants across seven categories.
