Walsall couple launches mental ‘wealth’ business
A woman from Aldridge has drawn from a personal journey of supporting her husband through crisis, as well as healing her own anxiety and depression, to develop a unique mental health initiative.
Partners in business and life, Jules and Lee Mitchell have launched The Mental Wealth Revolution.
The couple have delivered mental and emotional resilience education and programmes for many years to communities, schools and individuals, plus a range of public and private sector organisations including The British Army and NHS. Now, they are spearheading a radical movement that flips approaches to mental health on its head.
Jules Mitchell, co-founder of the Mental Wealth Revolution, said: “After 20 years of teaching and supporting those stuck in cycles of anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, trauma and breakdown, I can no longer be a bystander. We’ve got to do things differently. It’s time for a radical shake-up of a system that’s just not working.”
For more than twelve months, Lee Mitchell was housebound due to his mental ill-health and, in the face of her husband’s crisis, Jules became a caregiver providing support strategies, and ultimately helping him rewire his brain.
“On a personal level, I was one of those people who felt stuck for so long, and so was my husband, Lee,” said Jules. “This is why we are now on a mission to transform the way we view mental health and shift to the empowered perspective of mental wealth.”
The Mental Wealth Revolution integrates science-backed insights with deep therapeutic insights to provide practical tools and techniques for long lasting impact.
Backed by the study of the brain and nervous system, Neuroshaping is the methodology applied. It integrates the somatic system, brain activity, thoughts and beliefs, and the science of neuroplasticity; that is the brain’s ability to restructure synaptic connections, especially in response to learning, experience or trauma.
