Mr Huddleston visited Aurora Wilden View School, near Kidderminster, to learn more about the provision available to SEND pupils in his constituency. The school currently has 55 pupils aged between 5 and 19, many of whom have been out of mainstream education due to a range of reasons.

Mr Huddleston said: “I was pleased to visit Wilden View and join the pupils for their final day of term. It was great to see firsthand the emphasis put on pupils’ personal development and hear about the progress the pupils have been making at the school.”

Wilden View Headteacher Robert McConomy said: “We were delighted to welcome Mr Huddleston to showcase the difference we’re making for these young people. Many of our pupils joined us due to their non-school attendance or non-engagement with school but are now in school every day, accessing learning and making great progress.”

Aurora Wilden View School, which opened in February 2024, is one of 27 registered services across England run by independent provider The Aurora Group.

The Aurora Group CEO Kelvin Donald said: “We’re grateful to Mr Huddleston for taking the time to find out more about the wonderful things being achieved at Wilden View and how we support our students.”
