Persimmon Homes Central has started construction at Tame Bridge View, located on the former Phoenix Collegiate site off Friar Park Road. The development supports the Government’s target for new housing and aims to provide much-needed homes for local residents.

Tame Bridge View will offer a range of one to four-bedroom properties suitable for a wide variety of buyers, from first-time homeowners to growing families.

All homes on the site will come with modern, energy-saving features, including electric vehicle charging points. The development also benefits from strong transport links, with the M5 and M6 motorways nearby and Tame Bridge Parkway railway station just a short walk away.

Councillor Peter Hughes, Sandwell Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Infrastructure, joined Paul Coles, Operations Director at Persimmon Homes Central, to mark the start of the project.

Councillor Peter Hughes, Sandwell Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Infrastructure, said: “I welcome this much-needed, quality new housing as part of Sandwell’s pipeline of regeneration projects. This is one of the first new housing projects delivered in the Friar Park area with more expected in the coming years.”

Paul Coles Operations Director, Persimmon Central added: “We’re delighted to be on site and delivering new homes at Tame Bridge View.

“This is an exciting development for Wednesbury, and we’re proud to be working in partnership with Sandwell Council to provide high-quality, energy-efficient homes set within a well-connected community.

“There’s a great mix of homes to suit a wide range of buyers, so I’d encourage anyone interested to visit our website and find the right home for them.”
