Call for volunteers to support Walsall’s one-day festival celebration

MakerFest will take place in Walsall town centre on Saturday, 13 September, bringing a full day of free entertainment, cultural performances, creative workshops, and market stalls to the public. The event will run from 11am to 5pm, spanning locations from St Matthew’s Church to Gallery Square and the Town Hall.

To help deliver this vibrant community celebration, One Walsall’s Volunteer Service is seeking enthusiastic and flexible volunteers to support various aspects of the event. Individuals, pairs, or groups are all welcome to take part.

Volunteer Roles

Volunteer duties will include:

  • General event and festival support

  • Providing information and signposting visitors

  • Assisting with lost children and public enquiries

  • Supporting specific event areas and creative activities

  • Helping manage crowd flow and safety

All volunteers will receive a full briefing prior to the event. Food, refreshments, and travel expenses will be reimbursed.
