Local bus travel is getting a boost with the arrival of new evening and Sunday bus services in Staffordshire

The introduction of the additional evening journeys on Monday to Saturday along with brand new Sunday journeys will make travelling by bus a viable alternative to using the car for many journeys.

Service 60 (Cannock – Burntwood - Lichfield)

Additional Monday to Saturday evening journeys – including by popular request a late evening departure from Lichfield to Cannock at 2310 via Burntwood, Chasetown, Chase Terrace, Norton Canes, Heath Hayes plus a NEW hourly Sunday daytime service will be introduced.

 Service 74 (Cannock – Huntington - Stafford)

Additional Monday to Saturday evening journeys along with a NEW hourly Sunday daytime service will be introduced.

Service 828 (Stafford – Rugeley - Lichfield)

Additional Monday to Saturday evening journeys will be introduced. Sunday journeys will continue to operate with no change to times.

Kallum Crawford, Local Operations Manager at the Chaserider Buses said: “This is a great time to move up a gear and work in partnership with Staffordshire County Council to deliver additional late evening journeys on services 60, 74 and 828 along with brand new Sunday services for services 60 and 74 – which have been requested by members of the public”.

Kallum added: “My friendly team of drivers look forward to welcoming you on board your new evening journeys and Sunday buses and I would encourage non-bus users to try the bus as a viable alternative to using the car and help free up our grid locked roads – it’s much less fuss when you travel by bus – car free - carefree!”
