Only a month to go until Birmingham Phoenix returns to Edgbaston Stadium for The Hundred. Friday 8 August sees Birmingham Phoenix face off against Trent Rockets in an unmissable Midlands derby. Tickets for the opening match are more than 50% sold, so fans should act fast to avoid disappointment.
There’s just one month to go until The Hundred makes its exhilarating return to Birmingham for the 2025 season. Birmingham Phoenix’s men’s and women’s teams will be back in action at Edgbaston for a series of unmissable home fixtures. From Friday, 8 August the 100-ball cricket competition returns to delight crowds with world-class sporting action and incredible live entertainment.
The first fixture sees Birmingham Phoenix take on Trent Rockets, in one of the most anticipated games in the competition’s schedule. The women’s team takes to the pitch at 3pm, followed by the men’s team at 6.30pm, with every ticket giving fans access to both matches. With over 10,000 tickets already sold for this fixture, it promises to be an electric atmosphere at Edgbaston to kick off the season.
This year’s Birmingham Phoenix squad features exciting new talent, including Trent Boult, Georgia Voll and Emma Lamb, as well as fan-favourites Jacob Bethell and Emily Arlott, as they return to make their mark at Edgbaston.
The hotly anticipated event offers a mix of fast-paced cricket, music and off-pitch entertainment. Midlands-born musician KANDA will be on hand to entertain fans at the opening fixture on Friday, 8 August. Local band The White Lakes, and singers Josh Latunji, and Eloise Fabbri are then set to take to the stage at the remaining fixtures in August.
New men’s team captain Liam Livingstone commented: “With just one month to go until Birmingham Phoenix returns to the iconic Edgbaston stadium, we can’t wait to kick the competition off on Friday 8th August.

Friday 22nd August; Birmingham Phoenix vs Welsh Fire
The Hundred offers the ideal day out for sports-loving families, with fantastic value tickets available from just £5 for under 16s, and adult tickets starting from £18. There's also dedicated family seating at the stadium, which offers a welcoming and fun-filled environment where families can enjoy watching the incredible cricket and entertainment together.
