Whether it’s a few hours a month or a few days a week, the hours are flexible. Volunteers can contribute in various ways, including sorting donations of clothing, furniture, and other items, assisting with sales, and providing excellent customer service. Volunteering in a charity shop offers an opportunity to contribute to the community and make a difference in the lives of those who need emergency assistance from Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

The charity has recently received reaccreditation to the prestigious Investing in Volunteers Standard, which provides reassurance that it provides an outstanding experience for people dedicating their time.

The shop, which is located in 43 High Street, Newcastle-under-Lyme, offers customers good quality fashion, furniture and homeware goods. Opening hours for the shop are Monday - Saturday: 9am-5pm and Sunday: 10am - 4pm. For those looking to donate preloved furniture, and who live within a ten-mile radius, the charity offers a free furniture collection service. To arrange a collection, please call 01782 711 426.

Rachael Abi Rached, head of retail at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “All funds raised through the charity shops directly support Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, and our volunteers are integral in ensuring the success of our shops and in turn, the success of our missions.

“If you’re interested in gaining new skills and helping a lifesaving cause, joining our team of volunteers is the perfect way to start.”

In addition, the Staffordshire-based shop is in urgent need of donations of good quality clothing, which can be donated directly to store. The nearest car park to the shop is at Lymelight Boulevard Parking, 27 Paradise Street, ST5 1RS.

Every purchase made in store at one of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s ten shops help fund essential emergency missions across the region including Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire, and the West Midlands.
