Emily takes the leap in tribute to her father and raises over £1,200 for MS Society UK
Emily Labhart from Wolverhampton has completed a heartfelt and high-flying tribute to her late father - successfully completing a sponsored skydive at Tilstock Airfield in Whitchurch, raising more than £1,200 for the MS Society UK.
The jump, which took place on Thursday 19 June, marked 20 years since Emily’s father passed away after living with Multiple Sclerosis. A passionate skydiver himself, her dad had trained at the very same airfield, making the experience all the more meaningful.
“I can’t describe the mix of excitement and emotion,” Emily said. “Wearing Dad’s old jumping gloves made it feel like he was right there with me.”
But beyond the emotion, the experience itself was unforgettable.
“It was absolutely incredible - I genuinely loved it. I can completely understand why Dad clocked up over 400 jumps in his time. There’s nothing else like it.”
What began as a personal tribute quickly gained momentum. Emily originally set a £500 fundraising goal, but support poured in from friends, family, colleagues, and the wider community - more than doubling her target.

“I’m overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity,” she added. “The money raised will go toward vital research and support for people living with MS, which means so much to me and my family.”

The MS Society UK funds research into better treatments and provides essential services for the more than 130,000 people living with MS across the UK.
Emily shared footage and photos from the day on her JustGiving page, where donations are still open: justgiving.com/page/e-labhart
“I think Dad would’ve had a laugh at my mid-air face,” Emily joked, “but he’d have been proud – and that means everything.”
