The funding has enabled the school to purchase essential outdoor equipment for its Early Years provision, including painting trundle wheels, building materials, and exploration tools designed to develop gross and fine motor skills in children aged 2-5. The investment directly benefits approximately 90 children, as well as local families who participate in the school's regular Family Forest sessions.

Andrew Clewer, Headteacher at Landywood Primary School, said: "We are absolutely thrilled and deeply grateful to Landywood Stores Nisa Local for their wonderful generosity. This donation has made a real difference to our Early Years outdoor provision, allowing us to provide equipment that supports our children's physical development, mental wellbeing, and emotional regulation. Outdoor learning is fundamental to how young children learn and develop, and this investment will benefit our pupils for years to come. We feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such a supportive community where local businesses understand the importance of investing in education and our children's futures."

The new equipment has been installed in the school's extensive Early Years outdoor area, which includes a dedicated Forest School space where families can join specialist sessions to learn new skills and discover ways to support their child's development.

Speaking on behalf of Landywood Stores Nisa Local, owner Raj Patel said: "We are absolutely delighted to be able to support Landywood Primary School and the wonderful community in which we operate. The families and residents of Great Wyrley and the surrounding areas give us tremendous support day in and day out, and we believe it's important to give back to the community that has welcomed us so warmly. Education is the foundation of any thriving community, and we're proud to contribute to the development of our youngest residents.

Through our Making a Difference Locally charity initiative, we're committed to supporting worthy causes that make a real difference to people's lives, and we can't think of a better investment than in the future of our local children."

Landywood Stores Nisa Local, located at 30 Gorsey Lane in Walsall, is part of the Nisa network's Making a Difference Locally (MADL) charity, which supports community causes through funds generated from sales of own-brand products.

The school's Early Years provision emphasises the importance of outdoor learning, recognising that children of this age need to explore their natural surroundings and spend significant time learning outdoors for optimal development.
