Unico 3 marks 15th birthday with charity challenge in support of The Giles’ Trust
Local family-run accountancy firm is completing 15 walks in 15 places to raise money for brain tumour support and research after family member suffered from the condition
Family run accountancy company Unico 3, based in Walsall, is marking its 15th year in business with an ambitious charity challenge - taking on 15 walks in 15 different locations, covering more than 75 miles in total, to raise funds for The Giles’ Trust Brain Tumour Fund.
The team at Unico 3, launched the challenge in June to celebrate its 15th birthday and raise awareness for a cause that feels deeply personal to the team. A close family member was treated for a brain tumour at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham – the same hospital now supported by The Giles’ Trust Brain Tumour Fund, which was established in 2015 to fund vital research and care.
Over the challenge they’ve been walking five miles or more in places such as Dovedale, Warwick, and Telford, all while encouraging donations to the charity, which funds brain tumour research and supports families affected by the condition.

So far, they’ve raised £430 of their £1,000 target – and they’re calling on the public to get behind them and help make their final total even higher during the month of June. Their final walk is Saturday 21st June, but they are raising funds until the end of the month when they will hold a final celebration revealing the total raised.

Rebecca Dean, Managing Director of Unico 3, said: “This campaign is incredibly personal to us. The Giles’ Trust does life changing work for families facing brain tumour diagnoses – something we know from experience is a devastating journey, having had a close family member treated for a brain tumour at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham – the very place The Giles’ Trust now supports.
"We wanted to mark 15 years of Unico 3 by doing something that gives back, and I couldn’t be prouder of our team for getting involved in every walk. We’ve had support from clients, friends and family, and we hope that by raising awareness, we can also raise even more money for this incredible charity.”
Unico 3’s final walk will take place on Saturday, June 21 when it will finish near Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham at Bottle Cottages.
The company is sharing updates and photos from each walk on its social media channels and encourages supporters to follow along or make a donation at: justgiving.com/page/unico3-15years
Unico 3 will continue to fundraise throughout the month of June and will announce the total amount raised from their charity partnership with The Giles’ Trust over the past 18 months - including funds from this latest challenge - at a special company celebration marking their 15th anniversary at the end of the month.
