24 Laundromat brings Finnish innovation to Bilston with fifth UK opening
24 Laundrette UK Ltd (trading as 24 Laundromat) has opened its fifth UK branch in Bilston. The Finnish-owned company continues its successful UK expansion following impressive performance at existing Blackburn, Peckham, Darlington, and Leeds locations.
The Bilston location marks another strategic step in 24 Laundromat's ambitious UK growth plan, with additional sites scheduled to open throughout 2025. This latest branch offers the same high-quality, efficient laundry services, making the brand popular across its other locations.
The UK headquarters team travelled to Bilston last month to celebrate the new opening and host a special meet-and-greet event for residents. 24 Laundromat was established in 1999 by the seven Nevala brothers. Their interest in technology led them to identify a gap in the market between traditional laundrettes and high-technology machinery. Combining their data research and technical expertise, the Nevala brothers designed innovative washing machines from the ground up. Their vision has resulted in sixty successful laundrettes across Finland and now five in the UK.
The Bilston branch features multiple washers (including a specialised rug & pet bed washer), energy-efficient tumble dryers, and secure drying lockers. The secure locker system allows customers to leave their washing to dry overnight, with a key provided for their peace of mind.
