Robin appointed chairman at Stafford law firm
Experienced business leader Robin Hall has been appointed Chairman of a leading Stafford-based law firm.
Robin has been handed the non-executive role at ORJ with a remit of driving the firm forward and assisting with the day-to-day running of the business.
He has been working with ORJ in a consultancy role for the past two years but has now been awarded a formal position as the firm seeks to continue its growth across the county, wider West Midlands and further afield.
Robin has vast business experience, having held senior leadership roles in one of the world’s leading engineering companies, Sandvik, for more than three decades.
He served as Chairman of Sandvik Material Technologies in Japan and the UK and also sat on the executive board of subsidiary Kanthal, managing more than 200 people.
Robin, who has studied at London Business School on four occasions, was recently elected Staffordshire County Councillor for the Lichfield - Burntwood South seat.

Robin said: “I am delighted and privileged to be the new non-executive chairman at ORJ. Having already worked with the firm for two years, I know it is a business that puts its clients first and one that has huge potential moving forward.
“Managing Partner Patrick Tedstone has led the firm extremely well for more than 20 years. However, the nature of law is he has been doing the day-to-day tasks associated with running a business alongside his high-value and time-consuming client work, which is clearly very challenging.
“My role is to assist by taking a strategic overview of the business and its finances, as well as supporting the workforce. I have acquired many leadership skills over a 32-year career and I look forward to sharing that knowledge.”
ORJ, which also has offices in Telford and Shrewsbury, offers a wide range of legal advice, including business, litigation and family law, as well as conveyancing and will writing services.
Patrick said: “Robin is a highly-experienced professional who has brought new ideas and structures to the firm. I am delighted that he has agreed to become non-executive chairman as we continue to grow and develop as a business.”
