Charity football match at Molineux raises over £7,000
On Wednesday, 4 June, Wolverhampton company Tecman took part in a charity football match at Molineux stadium to raising a huge £7,122 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Thirty-two of Tecman’s employees took to the pitch to play, with many participants being Wolves season ticket holders and fulfilling their lifelong dream to play on the hallowed ground.

Supported by over 100 spectators including Tecman staff, friends, family and charity supporters, all there to cheer them on and raise important funds for the charity.

Liz Delaney, a Director at Tecman and player in the match said: “It’s amazing to see everyone enjoying themselves, Tecman have been a part of the Wolverhampton community for over 30 years, it’s great to get involved with The Wolves and raise important funds for a much-deserved charity”.

Supporting Birmingham Children’s Hospital, many of the players have a connection to the hospital, with one staff member receiving lifesaving surgery when they were born.
Darren Hickman, a Tecman employee and father of Alfred, a long-term patient said: “The hospital is like a second home to us and the care we’ve received is second to none. We owe the hospital a great deal and we hope to raise as much as possible to support the charity.”

Tecman were pleased to announce that they had raised and incredible £7,122, with donations still trickling in! A combination of employee donations, sponsorship, personal fundraising, raffles and ticket sales. This money will go on to help fund vital projects at the hospital.
