Macc Care group marked International Nurses Day on May 12th with everything from wellness packs to appreciation lunches, showing gratitude towards their nursing staff and fellow healthcare professionals in the wider community.

Studley Rose in Studley celebrated with an appreciation buffet lunch for its nurses and their families, offering a relaxed and heartfelt way to say thank you. All nursing staff were gifted a hamper to take home as a small token to reflect their immense contribution.

In Wolverhampton, Wulfrun Rose, along with sister homes Willow Rose and Wyrley Rose, came together to recognise their dedicated nursing staff with thoughtfully prepared thank you bags. As part of the wider celebration, Wulfrun Rose’s Customer Relations Manager visited nearby hospitals and GP practices to personally deliver additional goodie bags, extending their thanks to fellow nurses in the community.

Meanwhile, Meadow Rose in Longbridge extended its celebrations to the wider healthcare community by assembling goodie bags. These were delivered to nearby hospitals and GP surgeries as a way of spreading kindness beyond the home. Their own nurses received hampers and were invited to enjoy some tasty food in recognition of their commitment and care.

In Solihull, Blythe Rose, also shared its thanks to nurses in the community by preparing hampers for local hospitals as well as for their own nurses. Also in Solihull, Blossomfield Rose invited nurses to enjoy a relaxing afternoon tea; they also received a paper pack and a handwritten thank you card as a personal touch reflecting the home's thanks.

The team at Austin Rose, in West Heath, Birmingham, enjoyed a homemade buffet with cakes and mocktails. They were also presented with wellbeing goody bags from staff and residents to show their appreciation.

Bhav Amlani from Macc Care said: “Our nurses play an extraordinary role in the lives of our residents and their families and this year’s celebrations are a reminder of the dedication they bring to work every day.
