Wombourne High School proudly welcomes new headteacher

Wombourne High School, part of Invictus Education Trust, is proud to announce the appointment of Mr Nicholas Bradnick-Thompson as its new Headteacher, who officially took up the post in April 2025.

With nearly two decades of experience in education, Mr Bradnick-Thompson brings a wealth of leadership expertise and a passionate commitment to academic excellence, inclusion, and opportunity for all.

A trained secondary English teacher, Mr Bradnick-Thompson has held a range of leadership roles across every phase of education, from Early Years to Key Stage 5. His extensive knowledge of the full educational journey uniquely positions him to lead Wombourne High School with clarity, ambition, and a strong sense of purpose. 

Mr Bradnick-Thompson is deeply committed to ensuring that every child receives a world-class education, comparable to the standards of selective and independent schools. He believes passionately that such excellence should be accessible to all, regardless of background.

Mr Bradnick-Thompson commented that: “It is with both a deep sense of privilege and responsibility that I begin my tenure as headteacher at Wombourne High School. It is this ethos which is the centre around which all of my decision making as a leader pivots. Wombourne is a truly fantastic school and I look forward to driving it towards a flourishing future”.
