'Angel' to take to the skies in loving memory of her dad
Angel Cox was just 17 years-old when she woke up to find out her dad had passed away in his sleep. It was later found out that he suffered a cardiac arrest whilst sleeping and suffered unknowingly from coronary artery disease. A lot of the symptoms and risk factors are unknown to individuals across the country, and Angel wants to change that.
Angel, who lives in Dudley, said: "I am doing a skydive in honour of my dad in order to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. I am also holding a charity event at The Three Horse Shoes in Tipton on Saturday, 29 March.
"I aim to aid research to support families with recognising heart disease before it's too late, avoiding a tragic loss my family went through."
The charity event at The Three Horse Shoes on Saturday, 29 March is from 12 noon to 4pm and £3 per person.
