Maya Jama expected fellow traitor King Kenny to betray her on Celebrity Traitors

The Love Island presenter was the only original traitor left in the game.
TV presenter Maya Jama has said she expected her fellow traitor, social media star King Kenny, to betray her in the final roundtable of The Celebrity Traitors.
The 32-year-old, who was on three votes, was ousted when Kenny decided to vote for her to be banished rather than to tie the poll with eventual faithful joint winner Romesh Ranganathan, who was on two votes.
Speaking about Kenny’s decision after the final, she said: “I expected it.

“I knew that it was going to have to be one of us, and he was a lot more trusted at that time than me, and I felt like it would be selfish for me to expect him to try and save me when it was never going my way.
“Although I didn’t expect Leigh-Anne (Pinnock, former Little Mix singer) to vote for Romesh, if Kenny had known that, he could have jumped on that train as well.”
The Love Island presenter, who was the only original traitor left in the game, said she would have betrayed a fellow traitor herself if she had survived the roundtable.
She said: “That last day I was like, I have to just be a savage now.

“I’ve been lovely and considerate and put other traitors’ feelings before mine this whole game, and now I’m going to have to look after myself, because it is really a solo game at the end of the day, isn’t it?”
Ranganathan and actor Sebastian Croft won the show, after three traitors had been left in the castle until the penultimate episode, when comedian James Acaster was voted out after he admitted being a traitor at the roundtable.
Speaking about the traitors’ demise, Jama added: “I don’t know how it crashed down so quickly.
“I feel like the game of James not wanting to lie, me just trying to keep the vibes happy and Kenny playing as a faithful couldn’t have lasted till the final. It was impossible.
“I think maybe if I was a bit more savage, things could have gone a different way.”
