Lukas Podolski unleashed his lethal left-foot against his former employers Bayern Munich last night but it was not enough to send Arsenal through in the Champions League.

Bayern midfielder Bastien Schweinsteiger gave the home side a 1-0 lead before Podolski finished from a narrow angle to beat fellow German Manuel Neuer in the Munich goal.
Bayern were outraged as it appeared Podolski fouled Phillip Lahm in the build-up.
