A community health programme in Walsall is celebrating its 10th anniversary this week and has clocked up over 50,000 attendees since it began and trained 120 volunteer walk leaders.

Walsall Walk On was set up by Walsall Council's Sport and Leisure Development Services in partnership with Countryside Services, NHS Walsall, Natural England and the British Heart Foundation.

To mark the 10th anniversary, a celebration was held at Aldridge Community Centre, in Middlemore Lane and had over 70 people to celebrate the occasion from Volunteer Walk Leaders, walkers and partners.
