Youngsters are getting on their saddles in Walsall to learn about riding their bikes safely.

A training course is running at Willenhall Memorial Park in Pinson Road every afternoon this week.

The sessions have been organised by Safer Walsall Partnership and are aimed at 10 to 16-year-olds.

It is being run by members of Walsall Council's road safety team and show youngsters how to cycle safely.

There will be basic bike maintenance, highway code, duty of care for themselves along with other guidelines.

It follows the success of a similar initiative last year and for more details on the bike training course call 01922 709189.

Councillor Garry Perry, cabinet member for safer stronger communities at Walsall Council, said it was to important to learn to ride safely for their own and others benefit.
