Woodland craft events with a traditional twist are being staged throughout the summer by Walsall Council countryside services and The Forest of Mercia.
These will include a pole lathe demonstration and basket and broom making at various Walsall venues - as well as a session in Staffordshire.
Senior countryside ranger Eric Clarke said: "The emphasis is on showing people these ancient countryside skills that have been passed down through the years.
"It's an opportunity to see how wood turning was done, for instance, before electricity changed our lives.
"Some visitors may also get such a taste for a particular craft that it inspires them to book a place on one of the many courses we run."
