Sporty schoolgirls have thrashed the oppositon by taking a prestigious netball title for the third year in a row.
Palmers Cross Primary School are celebrating winning the Tettenhall League with an impressive goal tally, scoring 88 and conceding only five over the season.
Among their scalps were Wolverhampton Grammar whom they beat 13-1 in an away victory and St Jude's in a 20-0 rout.
New netball coach Sarah Simpson, who took over this season, said: "It's fantastic, especially in my first year in charge. I'm so proud of the girls."
But she was quick to give fullsome praise to her predecessor Jane Peel who led the school to two Tettenhall League victories before she retired last year.
Sarah, who works as a teaching assistant at the Windermere Road school, said: "I took over a good team."
She said the success of Palmers Cross was all the more noteworthy because it is a small school and does not have so many pupils to choose from.
"We are a one-form entry while we compete against schools with two or three Year 6 forms, so we're very proud of ourselves," she added.
