The ribbon was finally cut on the brand-new, £1.75million, ten-mile footpath and cycleway linking three Staffordshire towns together across Cannock Chase.
Walkers and cyclists will be able to go along the Chase Heritage Trail soaking up the picturesque landscape while learning about the history and attractions within the Chase, through information panels along the way, as it winds through Cannock, Hednesford and Rugeley.
Cannock Chase Council Leader Councillor Neil Stanley said the trail was unique.
He said: "Where else has such diversity in just 10 miles? Where else packs in so much fascination and fun? Cannock Chase district has got it all and the trail will link it all together.
"It will also be a major asset to the local community and help them get out and about. I am delighted that the dream has become a reality."
