Sick grave robbers have plundered a cemetery in Bilston as the wave of metal thefts sweeping the West Midlands goes from bad to worse.

Seven bronze plaques covering the final resting place of the ashes of loved ones were callously torn from the ground and stolen, as our video team reports.

Other commemorative plates were damaged in failed bids to remove them.

All were engraved with the name of the deceased, the date of their death and a personal message from their family.

Wolverhampton South East MP Pat McFadden described the latest raids as "absolutely appalling".
